Cancer Awareness & Support Cafes (CASC), has grown into a thriving non profit, serving many individuals each year.
The cafés encourage voluntary sharing of lived experiences to inspire and guide others, and provide clear signposting to NHS services, screening programmes, specialist care, charities, and community support. Aiming to raise awareness of early cancer signs and screening through relaxed, open discussions, by offering peer support from those who truly understand the journey, who can help mentor and signpost for anyone concerned about symptoms, waiting for tests, or navigating the early stages of diagnosis. They are hosted/located in supportive community spaces where free food and refreshments are available.
We are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where individuals affected by cancer can find comfort, information, and encouragement. Our organisation aims to raise awareness through accessible community events. We believe that we can make a significant difference in the journey towards health and well-being.
We are committed to offering a welcoming space where everyone feels valued and empowered to take proactive steps towards their health.

An invitation to come along to a CASC location, where the holder is warmly welcome to free refreshments. The cards are left in places where we do not run a café but where people who would benefit from cancer awareness gather, pass through or meet — so each card works as both a friendly welcome and a gentle awareness prompt.
Future Expectations - So it could be said that CASC are talking to people in, Wells, Minehead and J24 North Petherton Farmers Market, in the hope of opening at those locations soon?
